More and more you hear of people who are allergic to wheat, gluten, lactose intolerant, peanut allergy…what the hell right? I bet it’s all in their heads, or in the water, or in paranoia. Just eat a cookie and be done with it you may be thinking. Well if you have had thoughts like that you may be missing out on a key piece of the puzzle. We have been chatting a lot about the Law of Attraction lately. It began last weekend with my post Psst I have a secret….. Today we take our discussion from the energetic to the physical See attracting what you want doesn’t just come from tapping into your passion, or taking baby steps towards change or KEEPING HOPE ALIVE, it also comes from taking good care of your body. This leads us into a brief introduction about how your diet connects in with you putting your best foot forward into the world and going after what you want.
I hear people asking me all the time what’s up with all the food allergies. We there is honest to goodness solid information as to what is causing this but here’s the news that may be hard to swallow…those people with the food allergies….they may be you. Except they have been able to identify what ails them. They are fortunate. Hidden food allergies reek serious havoc on the body in all sorts of ways. In this article he mentions silent inflammation which is the kind of inflammation that goes undetected in the body. Silent inflammation is well…silent. It doesn’t have the redness, swelling and pain that comes with what we know inflammation to be It is often caused by an imbalance in the gut which is often caused by food allergies and/or other toxins in the body. An consumption of sugar, processed food, as well as dairy, wheat, gluten, soy, and meats can contribute to silent inflammation build up. Silent inflammation has been linked with a host of diseases and disorders such as depression, ADHD, anxiety, asthma, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease and the list goes on and on. Food allergies are on the rise because eating processed food and other allergens has been on the rise. Wheat is highly processed and gluten is in EVERYTHING which makes it hard to be healthy when you consume a lot of it.
What does this have to do with attracting what you want? Wellness means living to your fullest potential. Your fullest potential doesn’t come when you feel like crap, right? I can attest to that. Before I changed my diet, the symptoms caused by my old diet were dragging me down. It’s no wonder it was hard to get out of the struck in a rut place. I had no idea how to get out of the rut but even if I did, I wouldn’t have had the energy to do anything about it. See silent inflammation drags down your immune system therefore you get sicker quicker and stay sicker longer. Any issues you may be having with digestion well that pulls your energy down further. It wasn’t until I really got serious about changing my diet that I began to feel lighter and have more positive energy. The lightness you will feel outside will radiate from you. You will find that you will lose weight (which I did,) you will have more sustained energy, and you will gain a level of clarity that you never had before. Making decisions used to be such a change. Ugh. But now, they come far easier for me . Cognitively you clear up so decisions and having an inner knowing just flows.
Doing a cleanse for three to four weeks from all allergens can help you to see what’s going on underneath. Doing this for a shorter time period won’t do the trick because you are detoxing during the first week to two. You then can test the waters with going backwards and that will give you all the info you need. Then it’s up to you to integrate what you know. This was not a straight and narrow road for me, it has been very winding. At times I go off track but then I quickly see the results and get back on. If you are trying to attract what you want into your life, working from the inside out with your diet will definitely help you get there. But remember, in the words of Kris Kringle, all you have to do is PUT ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER AND SOON YOU’LL BE WALKING OUT THE DOOR!! Baby steps, baby steps as Bill Murray says in “What about Bob?” It’s all about the baby steps. ” Eat real food, not too much, mostly vegetables says Michael Pollen and I couldn’t agree more!
